I have an '01 with the VG33E engine. Installed the
new timing belt with all belt marks in alignment while
the engine was at TDC, cyl 1, compression stroke.

Followed the FSM tensioning procedure (i.e. turn the
engine at least 2 clockwise, then back to TDC cyl
1)...however, after doing that the marks on the belt
no longer line up with the dots on the sprockets. I
*think* that might be normal (since the belt "travels"
further through the tensioner side) but before I call
it done I figured Id ask. Note I did not hear any bad
noises while turning the engine over, and at TDC all
of the dots on the sprockets are where I expect them
to be (cams match up with the backplate and the crank
is at 5PM), its just that the belt marks are no longer
lined up with the dots on the sprockets.

Thanks in advance.
