Hey everyone, hoping I can get some help...
I have a 2005 frontier LE and my front
brakes seem to be getting stuck. When I
leave the house they seem to be fine but
then after a few minutes I notice them being
locked up. If I get to around 40 the truck
begins to shake and when I accelerate I can
feel the truck straining to fight the
brakes. When I stop and then let go of the
brake it doesn't ease forward like usual. I
can smell the brakes from the front right
tire and both front rims are hot to the
touch, but it seems the right one is worst.
When I lift it I cannot turn the tires. I
have four new tires and new front pads,
rotors, and calipers. I initially did the
whole brake job because of this but it
didn't fix it. I tested my brake booster,
check valve, master cylinder, checked the
brake lines, re-lubed the caliper pins, and
flushed the lines (no air in them). A
mechanic told me to take the fuse out for
the abs module to see if that was the
culprit but that didn't change anything. At
this point not sure what else I could check.
Any advice? Thanks!

Lefty,
If it were me, I would load it on a Flatbed and take
it to a Reputable Nissan Repair Shop, Firestone, or a
Nissan Dealer Service Dept.
If the Wheel's were hot,, imagine how hot the Rotor's
were and the Wheel Bearing's. It wouldn't surprise me
that the Rotor's are now Warp'd and the Wheel Bearing
Grease has gotten too hot,, meaning that the Wheel
Bearing's may be on the Soon to Replace List.
I can't begin to Guess what the problem is but
continueing to drive with the Brake's Dragging is
Begging for some Serious $$ in Repair work.

I agree w/ Rubble. Sounds like caliper piston is
sticking/ pads binding in supports/ pins froze/ or you
have twisted the brake hoses. If you have to ask, you
should not be doing brake work, it isn't rocket
science!!!

Sounds like a collapsed brake line, or the master cylinder is sticking.
I agree with the rest, find a good shop.
