Do you guys prefer ropes or straps for getting people out of holes? I have friends that swear by both of them and each hates the other. No winches, btw.

I've been having good luck with Big Daddy Offroad straps. I had a 2"x20' without hooks and now I have a 2"X30' adjustable, also without hooks. both rated to 20K#. Pulled a chevy 2500 out of the sand on the beach the other day with no trouble
