Just wanted to let everyone know I just finished installing K&N's KIPK 2 in my Fronty. I couldn't be happier... much better throttle response, noticable horsepower and torque increase, and it sounds and looks sweeeet! Installation took about two hours and except for a few hard to reach bolts it was pretty smooth and easy. Happy to answer any questions.

Hmmm.... where is the "Thread Worthless Without Pics" smiley.  A few pictures of the installation would go a long way.  Refer to my cardomain site on how to install a Pace Edwards bed cover.

I'm sure installing a FIPK is cakewalk unless you absolutely know nothing about cars, trucks, etc..

What would you say your Hp gain is, if you had to estimate and what did you pay for this upgrade?

I will post some pics soon... sorry, I didn't have access to a camera at the time. If I had to guess Hp gain, I would say 5 to 10. Definately noticable though. Pulls stronger in all five gears. 4x4parts.com sells the FIPK for $215 plus shipping, but I found ajusa.com... they sell it for $245 but had 5 dollar two day express shipping for anything K&N.

You would be surprised how many people come into my career field.  And have NEVER even opened a hood in their life.

I just installed the JWT pop charger on my 03, took about 20 minutes. I hav'nt had a chance to drive it yet but they've always worked well on all my Z's.

Pics does wonders.  BTW... that FIPK is a lot better than the Ghetto setup I saw earlier this week.  Buddy of mine was looking at getting a 00 King Cab.

The guy wanted $12,900... and get this.

over 100,000 miles
Ghetto duct tape intake with no filter
exhaust leak
body lift
cheapy American Racing rims
and body panels missing (ie the tailgate access cover, one of the fender trims)

I laughed right on the spot when the guy told us the price.  Told him I wouldn't even give him $5000 for it.  My 02 with 26,000 miles books for $11,000.  So like hell that 00 is worth $12,900

So what was the guys reaction?

BTW... DrewBoy, Your truck looks good and thanks for the pics. Now all the beginners know what to look for when they install their FIPK.

He tried rebutting with the fact it had rims and mods.

And I said "yeah, a $150 body lift, and cheap American Racing rims"  I told my friend if he tries to get it, only pay $6000.  He got a call today from the guy.  Saying they were wanting to talk about a deal.  So we'll see what happens.
