Anyone have experience getting more power from a 2016 up Nissan Frontier 4.0L engine? I'd like to have a little more power when towing my utility trailer? Are there aftermarket camshafts? Tuners? I have a cat back exhaust system already. I can't tell if it helped me or not. I'm green when working on imports. Is there anyone here with real experience and knowledge. thank you

Hbps,

The Nissan Frontier's & Titans are made in Canton,
Mississippi and is not an Import. The Nissan
Hardbody's were made in Smyrna, Tennessee since at
least 1993.

If it is an AT disengage the OverDrive, that should
help a lot. Otherwise I would advise staying away from
Modification's. Mod's cause the Resale Value to go way
down. People I know that are buying a Used Truck want
everything Stock, with no Mod's to Intake or Exhaust.

I've read that installing an Intake Manifold Spacer,
that raises the Manifold higher get's more Horse's in
the Lower RPM's(My wording may be a bit off, but I
think that's about the Gist of it),, but again I
wouldn't do it. Resale suffer's and the Rear End just
isn't Strong Enough for more horses IMO. The Axle
Seal's may start leaking and the 2 piece Drive Shaft is
fine with the Stock V6 Power,, but IMO that's about all
the power it is engineered for.

I recently saw a European Frontier(I forgot the name of
it over there), which he had an Air Scoop on the Engine
Hood, that fit down over the Air Intake. I didn't ask
him if it helped with Hp or Torque, but I'm thinking it
may have.

If the Frontier with the VQ40DE doesn't have enough
power, My advice is to get a Full Size Truck with a V8.

Just my opinion for what it's worth.
