I have an '06 4x2 4.0 v6 and it came from the factory with an external transmission oil cooler already on it.  That's one reason why they have a 6500lb. tow rating from the factory.  Make sure you look in front (behind the grill) of your radiator to see if you notice a cooler that looks similar to Lakota's (it will be black instead of silver and mounted towards the passenger side).  You don't want to go to a shop only to have them charge you $2-300 for something they didn't do, or, if they're honest, tell you that you already have one and you wasted a trip.
