The sensors don't "read" the CAT (a piece of metal),they "read" the exhaust.I replaced my CAT w/an aftermarket (40$ from my uncle's shop) and passed emmissions.

the first thing i would try would be to open the gas cap, wipe the edges clean on cap and filler tube, then retighten. make sure the cap holder isn't pushing the cap open; sounds stupid, but mine does it all the time. then, take the battery + cable off, wait 20 sec and replace. a loose gas cap will cause this problem every time.
if the light returns, it's checkup time.

Hi Frontierguy, why does the cat rubbish sucked back to the engine? i was told by the dealer the same. well i am looking to change both the cats aftermarket
