Replaced upper and lower radiator hoses and the cap yesterday-drove it home.Seems OK now,but I'm still watching the temp. guage. It seems to settle right at 11:30-12:00 position, which is a little warmer than it would be at before replacing the radiator, which was 10:30-11:00.

Have you replaced the thermostat?  It too could be crudded up, worn out, etc.  A new one cannot hurt.

Well, it seems that everything that could have been problematic is replaced and you should have good coolant flow.  It may be that the new reading is the NORMAL reading and the old one was reflectingwhatever was going on.  I'd drive it for a while.  Watch the temp gauge.  Have you replaced the shroud yet?  That may have an effect on the volume of air being drawn through the radiator.

Keep us informed on this, please.  Hopefully, you are now fine but even so, let us know.

Edit: Old thermostat may have not been closing fully, giving a cooler temperature reading.  New on may be right on.

Air dams work to help cool when traveling at speed. Shrouds help cool when stopped or moving slow an down wind.

Have a good One.. Don S..
