I did this and Nissan said there was not any recalls for my specific vehicle, after i gave them the vin number

Hopefully this worked. These are the VIN ranges included in
the recall. Even though the vehicle is not driven in a
"SALT" state, it still needs to be inspected. If it came
from a "non-salt" state and is now in a "SALT" state, it definitely needs to be inspected.

I purchased it in California and then I brought it over to Illinois in 09 and my vin number is neither of those you listed.

I went to the dealer in Ofallon Illinois, Auffenberg Nissan...... They refused to do it. What was even stranger when i talked to them yesterday. They told me that they did not have my vehicle on record as to ever being in their shop.
When in fact my vehicle was in their shop for week and they were unable to figure out the problem. Seriously pissed about that.... My vehicular problem has come close to causing accidents I am not a happy camper ugh.. just saying

Wow, that is pretty serious, any chance you have any paper work like receipts showing that your vehicle has been looked by them?

Sounds awful strange to me, why would a dealer refuse
work???? Or refuse to admit they have worked on a vehicle
prior. I would call another dealer and see what happens.
When you say you called Nissan, do you mean a dealer or
Nissan directly?
