 | Does any supplier make a rear diff cover for the C axle that will enable a greater oil capacity?  I have searched the Internet for such a part to no avail.  Any help would be appreciated.  I have a 2007 SE 4 wheel drive (not a NISMO).   Thanks in advance.

I don't think anyone has made one yet.  You mainly need it if you're going to do some extreme crawling.

Kcidmil,  I like to use these for both mild offroading and lengthy highway travel as it just results in lower rear end temps and better life of seals as a result.  If you ever see one, please post on here.  Thanks!

 | Try a 100% synthetic gear lube; it can lower your temps significantly. Check this study out from the amsoil corporate site. http://www.amsoil.com/lit/g2457.pdf?zo=1513149

Did you take a look at the test results from the AMSOIL link? There are some real surprises in there.

Stillen has made a differential cover that adds 41% more capacity (7/8 quart) and of course has cooling fins on it. The only draw back is that this particular cover is designed for the 2wd models... I don't know if the covers are really any different between 2 wheel and 4 wheel drives. So check it out!!

Many thanks!  I E-mailed them and asked if it would fit my C-axle.

 | Stillen came back with a "no" for my axle.   So at about 2000 miles on the truck, I undid the fill and drain plugs after driving the truck and drained the rear end.  The magnet was covered in a black oil/metal sludge, not unusual for a new differential (why I do a change early in the life of the axle).  Also, the drained oil carried some blacl material that was easy to see in the drained oil.  Cleaned it all up, wiped out the drain holes, put Teflon tape on the drain plug and a silicone on the fill plug.  Filled with Mobil 1 75W-90 gear oil to the bottom of the fill hole.  After about a year or so, I'll drain and fill again.
