I have 03 Frontier w/ 4cyl. auto. The engine shudders under light acceleration. If I press pedal on down or let off completely, it seems to stop missing. I am getting a code for "cyl. # 1 missfire". I replaced plugs, wires, cap, and rotor with no noticeable improvement. The code is still popping up. My mileage has also went from 26 mpg to 18. Any ideas???

I would have to say an injector, but I think that would come up as a code...so im not sure. Did you replace all the plugs and wires or just the one for the number one cylinder? Try running some fuel injector cleaner in it and see if that changes anything.
