Hello Folks. Not sure how to keep this in a nutshell. My first Jap truck is
pretty darn nice. First I had a 98 S-10. HUGE disapointed. Then I had a
nicely equiped Ford Sport Track. I was pleased, very pleased but a few
kinks. After 96,000 miles, the tranny acted up. The driver door would not
unlock with keyfob and needed a couple of small repairs. I traded the
truck for a 2006 used Frontier 4X4, sunroof and the towing package. The
dealer added 12,00o mile warranty and I added a custom Yakima roof
rack for my Kayaks. Now, what should I expect? I hear many tell me that
this truck will run for 100,000 miles flawlessly. My wife's Camry ran for
139,000 miles with absolutely no glitches. Is the Nissan the same
quality? Besides the religious oil, filter and tranny fluid changes, what
should I expect? Is this one of those vehicles that will run in typical
Japanese fashion and make my domestic truck memories a thing from the
past and totally make me a believer and fan of the Nissan brand. Are
these vehicles totaly reliable and bullet proof? Are all the consumer
reports right? Not sure what to expect.
Regards to all.
Gil
