Greetings,

New guy here, just bought 2001 Crew Cab and exploring. It has the stock single CD with tape, radio works great, awesome reception compared to my other car, and I don't own any cassettes!

I have a problem loading, or rather not loading, a CD! Maybe there’s something in there but I attempt to insert a CD and it will only go in about ¾” and then it “hits” something. I’m not into forcing it but nothing comes out when I hit eject so I’m at a loss.

Also, which fuse is for the Radio?

Ideas?

 Tanx in advance

When replacement audio units are shipped, they have a plastic locking device inserted to prevent damage to the CD mechanism. If the audio unit has ever been replaced, it's possible that piece is still in there, you will have to remove the audio unit to check. While it is out, after a few minutes, if there is a CD stuck in it, sometimes they will self eject with no power attached.
The fuse should be in the panel near the hood release handle, labeled audio.

Fuse # 41 is located in the fuse box just behind the battery.
Fuse # 18 is located in the fuse panel on the left lower dash panel near hood release handle. Check your owners manual or the covers of these respected fuse panels.
