The brake pedal appears to have gotten spongy(er) in the last year. I've been using the emergency brake as my parking lot is on a bit of a hill but other than that I haven't done anything out of the ordinary. The truck is an '06 CC LE 4X4 ~25,000 KM

The pedal does not hit the floor but goes half way at least under normal breaking at about 3/4 for hard breaking. Just looing for feedback from other owners to see if this is normal.

Check your fluid level. You may have air in the lines...which means a leak. Is the problem getting worse over time. I had a car that had that problem. It was a valve in the rear.

If at some point in time you slammed your brakes really hard (maybe to avoid a dog with a small child chasing it while your traveling at 45 mph) you might have broken a proportioning valve. Thats what happened to me.
