Hey everyone!

I traded my 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS towards a '98 Frontier 4x4 extended cab at a small used car dealership.  Instead of lowering the price on the truck, he increased the amount he would give me for the car, but either way, I think I got a good price on it.

It was a little rough at first, but after doing some routine maintenance and fixing a few small problems, it drives great!  I'm a big fan Nissans (I have a 300ZX project on hold right now), and I love the KA motor.  I know a lot of people disagree, but I also think the early Frontiers are also some of the best looking trucks out there too.

I miss the gas mileage of the Mitsubishi (33+ mpg), but cheaper replacement parts and cheaper insurance rates make it worth it!

I am an engineering student with a fair amount of fabrication and do-it-yourself experience, so I hope I can be of some good contribution to the forum!

..

Great to have you on board. I love designing and building things to save money or fill a need that hasn't been filled yet.

Have a good one while you can still laugh about it.. Don S..

Yes another KA man...  LOL.  I scofe at the SR series.  They're a great motor, but why bother with getting the 2.4L upgrade kit for it when you can start off at 2.4L and go higher.  KAs just need a lot of air.

BTW, if you ever decide to change your piston rods on the 300zx let me know.  I want the old ones for Maxima.  Your VG30DE has a bigger wrist pin than my VG30E

Yeah, the KA is a tough little motor.

Unfortunately I have a first gen 300ZX, so I also have a VG30E, so I'm not sure I could be any help for you.  If there are any parts you might need though, just let me know, maybe I can work something out for you.

mainly I'm just after the VG30DE's rods.  Everything else is all after market.  Pistons, JWT cams, etc.

What part of TN you from?  I used to live in both Clarksville and Paris
