2000 frontier crewcab v6

shows "cam sensor" which equates to the distributor,

versus a "crank sensor".

anyone come across this? are distributor modules available separately?

tia

Usually what goes bad is the bearing- it comes apart and pieces float around inside. I have replaced them before with success. You will have to disassemble , get the # from the old bearing and match it up. Nothing is serviceable inside the distributor through Nissan.

module/led/reader was bad.

since they dont sell them (only as a distributor assembly)

found a newer 3.3 at the salvage yard and took it from there.

fine now.
