I have a 2000 Frontier crew cab and the driverside window does not work.  I have replaced the switch and it still does not work, all the other windows work.  Is there a way to test the window regulator or the motor without taking it out of the door?

Any help would be appreciated.

if you have a multimeter and a general mechanical knowledge it can be done.  Basically it's just a matter of using the multimeter to check for resistance through the motor using the connector pins.

If you're scratching your head at that statement above, I would have a dealership or a decent shop check it out.

But I can tell you from what you already wrote, that I'm 99% sure it's the motor... 1% being that the connector for the motor is unplugged.

Tapping on the motor with a small hammer will sometimes free up sticking brushes and make it work for a while to verify it is the motor.
