Bought a used 2007 Frontier, automatic, 4cyl, two wheel drive.  Right rear wheel wobbles noticeably but does not ride real rough.  Took the wheel off to ensure it was mounted properly etc.  Wheel has dents along rim where it appears hit something hard.  No evidence up under of misalignment of axle etc....no marks to indicate things out of place.

What could be the cause?

Somebody slammed that wheel sideways into an unyielding object and bent it.  REPLACE THE STEEL?ALUMINUM WHEEL right away!  Remount the tire after checking it foir damage and you should be OK.  Check if your spare is mounted on the same wheel.  You might use this but you will then need to replace the spare wheel.

This often happens on an icy morning turning a corner too fast.  Truck goes sideways and the wheel hits the curb and gets bent.

Also check when you dismount the wheel after taking off the lug nuts.  Make sure that the previous owner didn't get a pioece of something caught behind the wheel when he installed it.
