I was wondering if a few owners could provide their feedback on their vehicle, especially anyone who has owned models with the off-road package.

I currently own a 2003 Chevy S10 ZR2.  I absolutely love this truck but with only 67,000, I'm sinking a lot of money into it.  Had to replace oil pan gaskets, fuel pump, more routine stuff like plug wires, and now I've got a bad motor mount and leaking oil cooler system.  I take great care of my trucks and every GM vehicle I've had has been like this.  The engines and body last forever, but everything else falls apart.

Some things to keep in mind, I really do use my truck off-road, a lot!  I love the automatic locking differential on the Chevy.   One thing I don't like about the Nissan is that the locking diff. is that from what I can tell the locking diff is only able to be used in 4WD Lo, and it has to be activated.  To me that means the 2WD traction would be nowhere near as good as in the Chevy.  Comments on that would be appreciated.

Also, anything you just love or can't stand about the truck would be helpful.  Anyone feedback on trucks with high mileage would be helpful too.  Good/bad repair experiences, repair costs, reliability, etc.  I put a lot of money into my trucks and I hate to get rid of something at 67K, but on the other hand putting a $1000 into a vehicle every few months doesn't seem worthwhile either.

I had a 2007 NISMO that I just got rid of for the LE. The locking rear was
nice, but did not use it much. I was a GM tech for many years and can say
that the nissan did better offroad than the chevy. I got the LE because I did
not like the bumpers and mirrors painted, I like the chrome look better. I
never had major problems with the nissan.
On a side note the motor mount and oil cooler lines are not that bad to do!

I owned a 2006 SE Crew, it was TL's and I replaced it with a 2009 PRo4X. It is awesome. I love everything about the truck, the traction control replaces the locking diffy in 2wd. That means less wear on the diffy and more off-road reliability. I have never had an issue with icy road traction and I live in Saskatchewan...ice, cold and snow 6 months a year.

The engines are bullet proof, they have incredilbe torque and hp...the transmissions, transfer cases and diffys are built like a tank and they share the same frame with the TITAN.

Because of the conditions I drive in (dust and gravel) as I hunt 6 months a year, my truck likes to eat EVAP cannisters every 5000km's but my dealer just installed a redesined one about 3500 km's ago...so we'll see if the new improved part solves the issue (check engine light)...the dealer said they would replace it for as log as I own the truck whether it has warranty or not...it just turns on a light, it does not effect drivability or anything...just a nusance.

I LOVE MY NISSAN FRONTIER PRO4X...
