It say's on our "maintenance guide" that the VG33 V6 timing belts need to be changed at 60,000 miles. Now, I'm no mechanic, but that seems awfully low.. Isn't the average timing belt change done at around 100,000 miles?

Thanks fellas

I had a 94 pathfinder with a VG30 engine, and it called for belt replacement at 105,000.

Is that a "maintenance guide" from your dealer or from your owners manual??? Have seen them needing attention sooner due to looseness and rattling. Owners manual calls for 105,000 miles.

This was the shop manual, the one for $84 at the dealer.
This contained all of the procedures to do anything and everything for the model year truck and pathfinder.

There hasn't been any "print" form of service manuals since around 2000, they are all ESM(electronic service manual) available thru the ASIST computer system. If you wanted to buy a print form of a Nissan manual it would cost about $400!!!!
