Hello,
2001 Frontier XE 2.4. I just changed all my drive belts
and pulleys, started the truck, all sounds and works great
except now the Tachometer suddenly decided to work
intermittently. I increase the RPMs and it will jump and
read fine but then back down to idle and the needle is
stuck on the 1000 mark. Any ideas?

Remove the meter assy. and tighten the screws on the back of the printed circuit board. Most likely it needs the tach replaced.
