when i hit the cruise button the light comes on....when i
go to set it .....it will not engage.... can anyone help me
out and give me some suggestions to what the problem could
be,,,,,i have checked the wires going to the unit, the
cable going to the throttle body is fine, fuses are fine,
brake lights are all good

Can't remember if there is a vac. hose on the 01, if there is make sure it is connected and no cracks in it. May also have a faulty brake lite switch.

Ok, will keep that in mind when I talk to the dealer as it is there at the moment as the truck is under warranty.

If they dont find it, which wont surprise me at all then I will try out those ideas.

no there is no vacumn hoses...its all electric.....and
where would i look to see if i have a faulty brake
switch?????

ok so i located the brake switch and realized the little
rubber piece was missing that holds the switch in for the
cruise control......so i went to the hardware store and
picked up a nut bolt and washer......33 cents.....works
great now.....5 years its been since it last worked..thanks
