Hey all, I'm going to pick up my first Nissan truck
tomorrow from the dealership. It's a used white 2006
Nissan kingcab 4x4. I'm currently driving a 96' Jeep
Cherokee 4x4 standard so I have some standards in what I
expect this truck to be able to do. I also work as an
apprentice mechanic and am close to obtaining my license.
I decided to go with Nissan as I see a fair amount of
them driving around, but seldom are they in the shop for
complete overhauls, the main reason I avoided the Detroit
3. That being said I don't know alot about Nissan but
look forward to learning more about them

Welcome! I to own a 2006 Nissan Frontier crew cab with 107,000 miles and it runs like new. I'm sure you will like yours. Looking foward to see your future posts on the truck.

06,06,08 , nissan used junky radiators which had
transmission cooling lines in them leaking, which then
pumped antifreeze thru the transmission, ruining the tranny
which only costs 5k to replace, plus the radiator. IF the
coolant looks like a milk shake, run like hell from it.
Mine was like that when i bought it, but since it only
had 24k miles i didn't look in the radiator. Nissan fixed
it under warranty and replaced the radiator and
transmission. Sure hope they used a better more improved
radiator this time.. I am shocked this has happened on
06,07,and 08 models. google nissan consumer complaints.
