Hello all, I have a 06 Frontier Crew Cab 4x4.   I just had to replace the original battery which seemed to go uneventfully.    But it must not have, the problem is the AC seems to be on and blowing cold air even with the temp setting set for warm air.  The AC switch does not respond to turning on or off, the light in the switch does not come on.  I had the gauges do the flicker when the truck was first started other no problems that I am aware of.  Has anyone had a similar issue?   Thanks,

Dumb question, but was the ignition switch off during the
battery replacement procedure?? You may want to disconnect
both battery cables and touch them together then re-attach
to battery.

Thanks, for the reply, yes the ignition was off, key was not even in it.  I did some trouble shooting yesterday, the trip odometer reset when the  truck is turned off, the controls for the heat and AC/defroster, etc do not work all of the air comes out of the vent s in the dash.  The AC light or air return does not seem to work.   All of the other electrical options work, lights, headlight etc.  I did check any fuse that seemed to part of this system and they were all good.  I also unhooked the battery cable for 10+ minutes to see if that would help, not.  I am thinking my next step is to have the truck put on a computer to check for any error codes.   Suggestions are appreciated.

Did you touch the battery cables together while they were
off the battery? You might want to try that.
