Any way to change the oil filter on my 2009 without getting oil dripping all over the place? The catch tray under the filter doesn't work very well.

Even w/ stuffing rags under the filter guide tray, you
still get some what of a mess. Poor design.

Punch a hole in the filter and let it drain a while before removing it!

I have a friend is a mech. doing  passager side wheel to get the oil filter ! without any problem ! but on mine when i brought it used it look like someone was trying to bend the tray to get the oil   :/

 you are right they are different than mine  ! i was just telling that mine was use people was telling me saying you got something  hanging underneat i never notice untill someone telling me i look under sure nuff. look lile someone bend the thing just get the oil ! :/

i'm sure there way get the oil but not sure on newer truck than mine 03, i'm a short guy can't even get the oil filter, i can change the oil no problem ! but filter thats something i can't do.


Matter of fact i just replace the sprakplug and wire. the sparkplug as to be ngk brand.sure made a big different. that is anouther story later ! :)

I usually use/cut a piese of cardboard to divert the oil stream to a container.
