WOW!!!! How was the truck used????? How much of this stuff
failed out of warranty?? The prop shaft(u-joints) are
5yrs/60K- ECU-8yrs/80K - what was the trans doing or not
doing to make it fail? Were you losing any coolant, it only
takes a few tablespoons to destroy the trans- was there any
pink fluid in the coolant over flow tank?

Hi frontier guy thanks for the reply everything was under warranty.
Except computer. $8oo. Did not fix rear diff lights on in dash in. Dec.
Tranny blows in. Jan 2011. Can't member if pink fluid in overflow
tank. Toted. It to dealer service manager was a major a hole when.
Said tranny had blown telling me I did not know what I was talking
about paperworks says transmission fluid is burnt needs
transmission assembly no coolant in automatic transmission
checked for automatic transmission fluid in coolant. None. I just
feel they screwed me. I should have been. A hole back. Do you.
Think. Tranny failed for other reason? We did have really bad
winter in. Northeast?/

Frontier guy I can give you the codes scanned by tech if. That
means anything to you? Thanks for your help

The computer you are referring to, is it the ECU??? If so,
that is covered for 8 yrs/80K miles. If there was no
coolant intrusion, it sounds like the tranny failed for
some other reason.

It is possible. It is best to replace trans., unless you
can find an independent to rebuild it. Again, any amount of
pink oily crap in the coolant overflow is a definite
indication of rad. failure.
