Welcome to the group!!
Most modern ball joints and tie rod ends are factory sealed. I have seen some drilled and taped for grease zerks. The process can leave metal particals in the joints. Replacing the joints when worn from being dry might be the way to go. The last Ball joints I replaced was on a '66 Chevy four decades ago.. I had to buy a "pickle fork" and a BFH...
