My 2001 Nissan Frontier remote controls will lock my doors but they will not unlock the doors. I changed the batteries, and still have the same problem. Sometimes after a few minutes it locks it's self. Any ideas?

Take the remotes to your dealer and have them tested to
verify if they are working or not. Possible actuator,
entrance control module, wiring, connection??????

If the locks are locking just a few minutes after you hit
the "unlock" button on your remote, then you you've got a
problem with the module, actuator or wiring to it. The
system is programmed to re-lock the doors if you hit the
unlock button on your remote but don't open the doors.
Helps prevent thefts if you accidentally hit the button
while walking away.

If that's your case above, the remote is sending the
signal, and the module is receiving it. Just nothing is
getting to the actuator.

I have a 2001 Frontier crew cab.  When it is cold, the door locks will malfunction periodically.  Using the remote, i can hear the lock moving but will not unlock door.  The key will not unlock the door either.  I have had the actuator replaced but problem is still occuring.  Any help.
