2001 nissan frontier crewcab auto 6 cyl in good condition. Have been getting a misfire reading in cylinder 6 and rough idle happens when engine is warmed up. have replaced router, cap, spark plug cables anc plugs in last 2 months. Battery new, power flow good. Truck runs like a stripped jackrabbit except for misfire upon start up now and again, not always and misfire lasts for about a minute and then engine smoothes out.

Please help with any advise as to what is causing this problem.

Are you getting white or blue smoke while it's doing this?

Try running some Lucas injector cleaner or similar product
to clean and lube injectors. I hope you used Genuine Nissan
parts!!!!! How many miles on the truck?

Good call, I just put a small can of injector fluid in a tank of gas, and Walmart Automotive says the do a good job of flushing out the injectors for $20.00 which I may try next. The truck has 137,000 miles of tender loving care on it, and as I said before, the engine and all parts under the hood are always clean, you could actually eat off the top of the battery with little or no chance of acid contamination. lol. I always use Nissan Parts, they are a bit more expensive but worth the money.

When I have run the engine for a tank or so, I will post again to let you all know if the problem has been solved, I am almost certain it is being cause by a dirty injector.

I never considered a fuel injected engine to have a fuel filter, and if it has a filter, it has never been changed in 137,000 miles. I will check my after market book on this one lol
