I have a 03 supercharged club cab with 143,000 and it has a code reading of p0057 for 2 months and Ive been driving it with that code with no problems till today. On my way home it started to cut out and was stalling until it got below 2250 rpms. Runs and idlles fine until I bring it up to around 2250 rpms then stalls out till the revs come back down. Anybody had this happen to them. I'm thinking maybe the cat. converter is plugged? I'm stumped any help and I would be grateful. I do have a lift in my shop so repair is in my blood. Thanks  Jeff

I had this issue with my pathfinder, it was the Mass air flow sensor (MAFS).
Take a look at this link, I was unable to hyperlink it..

P0057 is for the rear bank 2 O2 sensor. This will not cause
your problem. If you are not using a Genuine Nissan oil
impregnated air filter, you should be. Try cleaning the
MAFS with an approved cleaner. This engine also requires
premium fuel.

Ok so heres the update. I actually had more codes than I thought. P1143,P0158,P0732,P0102,P0057.  So what I did was on your guys advise ( which is much appreciated) I cleaned the MAFS and my K&N filter, with no better results. So I went back to the parts store and got a MAFS and put it in and batta bing it works great So I cleared the codes and drove for a while and when the truck shifted into 2nd  the light came back on, so I'm thinking that is the reason for the P0732. It has shifted hard into 2nd gear but not all the time. Is there adjustment that I can make or do I have to take it to the dealership? Now I know from reserch on the forum that frontier guy is no fan of K&N filters. I understand that OEM is better sometimes but if you guys care to explain I'm listening. Thanks for the help as I really like this truck and want it to last as long as I can. Thanks Jeff

I followed frontierguy's advise when it came to the air filters. I had a VG motor pathfinder that had idling as well as MAFS issues, my guess is that they were from using non Nissan filters. I now have an 08 Frontier, I can see and smell the difference when it comes to the air filter. The Nissan OEM filters are oil lined/coated, you can feel it as well as smell it. Take a look and smell a non Nissan filter like Fram or Purolator, and they are bone dry with no oily smell. In my case the dealer is $2 more than Oreilly's so it's $2 well spent.

Thanks frontierguy!

I'm not a fan of K&N either. Nissan filters are oiled
lightly, while K&Ns are drenched in the stuff. They also
allow way too much dirt to get through.

If you're that dead set on having an aftermarket I
suggest AEM or AFE. Both have a "dry" filter, which is
just a lightly oiled air filter. AEM is a open cone,
while AFE comes either open cone or box.

Also there's a video out there where they dyno'd both OEM
and Aftermarket filters on 2 different cars. There was
no improvement, in fact the open cones did worse than the
OEM on one of the cars.

Well it sounds like the search is on for a junkyard that has all the parts from the end of the throttle body down to the air box. Anybody happen to have an extra

P0732 is due to a mechanical malfunction in the trans.
Possible control valve, solenoid, etc. May want to get the
trans flushed and go from there. Also check all engine
grounds and connections.
P0158 P0057 are for a defective rear bank 2(left) O2 sensor
P1143 Front Bank 1(right) O2 sensor
P0102 MAFS
