I have a '98 frontier that has dumped coolant twice now. The first time was after a steady 90 mph for about 15 minutes on the highway and this last time was after taking my truck out in a field and having the RPM's up for a little bit doing donuts.

I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem or heard of it or what could be the cause. It was suggested to me that the hose for the overflow reservior could be clogged but I am unsure.

Thanks,

csagenlee

Radiator cooling fins plugged with debris??? Headgasket???
External leak in system???? Thermostat?? Lots of
possibilities.

It will only do it after a long period of high RPMs though...if it was a hole in something wouldn't it leak all the time?

update, the leak look like it is coming from one of the freeze plugs on the front of the engine and it is now a constant slow leak...after 12 hours of sitting my radiator is empty

Are you sure it is not a hose above the alternator, if
memory serves me, that is a known weak spot.
