Hi,

I have a 2011 SV Crew Cab 4x4 auto. Unfortunately I have the dreaded low speed brake squeal. I took it to the dealer about a year ago and they applied the TSB and used the Molykote 7439 copper paste. It stopped the squeal for a few months but it is now back. I only have about 14k miles on the truck, so it is not the wear indicators on the pads. Does anyone have any experience with the Permatex brand brake products? I am looking into the "Ultra Disc Brake Caliper Lube" and the the "Ceramic Extreme Barke Parts Lube". Does one product last longer than the other? Is one product "better" than the other? Any problems with the caliper pin boot "ballooning up" due to material incompatibility? I would like to fix the squeal problem for more than a few months at a time with one of these products. Any suggestions or feedback is appreciated.

Thanks,

Joe B.

I installed the Wagner Thermo Quiet Pads w/ drilled and
slotted rotors, much better. I do get an occasional cold
squeal, but nothing like the stock pads. Just look at all
the metal particles in the stock pads and you will see why
they squeal. Lube the pad backs w/ the moly grease and the
metal edges w/ high temp grease(copper anti seize).
