I bought this vehicle new and now have close to 90k miles on it. The truck through the years has performed flawlessly.

No issues except for the paint job which starting peeling away about 3 years ago. At that time it was just a small speck on both sides of the windshield. Eventually, it's wiped out both sides and now it's eroding on the top of the truck as well.

I contacted Nissan several times and like I thought, got a complete run around with no resolution.

Anybody else out there had any similar issues with the original paint peeling away as depicted in these pictures?

..

Some times the EPA makes the manufactures change the type of paint they are using and that can cause a paint & primer mis-match.

You are lucky it is white. I'm Guessing it is an '07 model. I would scrape the nearby area to see how much more is going to peel. Then I'd sand the area with 480 wet or dry then spray-can it. But practice on something else first.

I see a lot of Chevy pick-ups with the same paint problem. I painted the top of my Datsun Pick-up with a white rusttoilium spray can and it looked good for five years.

Good Luck.. Don S..
