I have an '05 Frontier, SE V6, 4WD. Last week I replaced the front brake pads with new ceramic pads. I did not open the hydraulic system, so air in the lines was not a problem. However, after I finished the pad job, the brake pedal is obviously lower than it was.
Since the brake fluid was original (and dirty) I took it to a garage and had the system flushed and refilled. They said there was no air in the system when they did the flush. However, the pedal is still low. Any ideas what is causing this? (fyi -- rear brakes are also disc)
One fellow I spoke with said to try resetting the ABS system? Can't see how this would matter.
Any comments appreciated.

Did you replace the rotors? Do the caliper pins move
freely? There is no "reset" for the ABS.

I did not replace the rotors -- they looked just fine.
The calipers seem to work OK. The truck will stop OK, but the pedal is definitely lower. Should I try to lube the calipers?

Be sure that the "pins" that the caliper slides on allow
the caliper to move easily.
