Hello, the other day a Titan was parked next to me, I noticed that in place of the fog lamps the Titan had what appeared to be cowl vents, which were tubed into the air intake.
Does such thing exist? Is there a real benefit routing air into the engine this way, as long as it goes through the air filter?

Thanks,
David

..

Howdy..
Increasing breathing is (and fuel) is one way to make
more HP. Nascar Cup cars use an air intake at the base of
the windshield and that is a high pressure area. I
believe the Titan (or my ‘99 Frontier) could gain a
little power by ingesting air at the fog lamp position.
Enlarging the air dam could add more pressure at that
point. Some vehicles have pressure under the hood from
the fan so it might not be worth the effort to rig it up.

Have a good one.. Don S.

Just have to be very careful about ingesting water into the
intake.
