My 08 frontier 4.0 has a oil burn smell after shutdown. I assume valve cover gaskets. Could it be anything else. Uses almost no oil.

I don't know about newer vehicles but the older ones have a crankcase breather hose that went into the air cleaner.
Look for a loose hose under the hood.
