filter. I leave the vent setting on interior when parking,
but they still get in somehow. I had to screen the engine
air intake to keep them out of that filter, but I can't
seem to keep them out of the air vents. Any ideas? Thanks,
 Doug

outmatic transfer station and the mice destroyed one of the circuit
boards. Our repair person suggested that we use peppermint oil as a
way to keep them at bay. Since I also had mice in the filter I also
began to use real peppermint oil after cleaning out the entire filter
area with a alcohol/water/soap mixture after removing air filter. Before
replacing the filters, I wipe some peppermint oil onto the filter and
around other areas. I usually do this every month as these things
seem to be determined and they do not like peppermint oil. However,
during one moment of fustration.....we also aquired a cat. Now I do
not really like cats, but so far this year she has bagged 22
chipmonks, 4 bats, 16 mice. So between the peppermint oil and cat
we seem to be able to keep those critters out.....so far...... and we
 also added a Cane Corso.

 | | | I found a post that showed how to remove the air intake
grill in front of the windshield and put 1/4" hardware
cloth over the air intake for the cabin air. This seems to
of stopped the mice from getting to the cabin air filter,
and since it is more daylit, they won't nest above that.
Thanks for your suggestions. My Pyr won't allow cats. I
had to look up Cane Corso.
