A couple days ago my 02 Frontier 3.3l suddenly decided to develop a
misfire on #3 cyl. Truck had sat for a week. No previous issues.
Started perfectly when cold. Went inside, came out 15 minutes later for
work and I could hear the misfire. Determined it was #3. Plug looked fine
later, plugs and wires are 3 years old. Wire looks perfect as well.
Next day I tried again. Started fine, took for a drive. Got 1 mile and misfire
returned. Drove home.
Next day replaced the plug anyway. Did this, started perfect again ran it for
1/2 hr then took it for a short drive, was flawless.
Next morning started perfect, but after warming up the misfire returned.
Still on #3.
Today it again starts perfectly. Looked closely at plug wire, no visible
damage. Checked fuel injector wiring, looks fine. Checked distributor cap.
Fine. Will check again in the morning before work.
Ideas? Thoughts? Suggestions?

Truck Mileage?
My advice ~ Download DTC's, Download Genuine Nissan
Service Manual, Follow the DTC diagnostic's in the
Service Manual; Or Take it to the Nissan Service Dept and
see if they can diagnose the problem.
Google 2002 Nissan Frontier 3.3L Misfire and Distributor
Replacement, it might help you to confirm if the
Distributor need's Replaceing.
