Hello everyone. I have a 2007 Frontier 4x4 SE stick shift.
I don't drive it a lot and it only has 34,000 miles on it.
It's sets in the garage for long period and I get in it to
start it and it's dead. Nothing even lights up on the
dash. I put the charger on it and jump in it fast and it
fires right up, I mean right up. Things I've done. I took
the battery terminal off and cleaned them and the battery
post thoroughly. Put the liquid type anti corrosion on
them. I thought that would do it. Nope, it didn't. So took
it down to O'Reillys where I bought the battery, which by
the way is only one year old and their top of the line
battery, and they checked it out. Nothing at all wrong
with it. No dead cells nothing. Now after I start it the
volt meter on the dash is normal. I talked to Nissan and
they said take it to the auto parts store and have them
check it before you having to bring it to Nissan service
because the battery is the first culprit. I'm going to try
one more thing, actually two. I'm going to check the
voltage with my volt meter and then I'm going to just hook
the battery charger to it and immediately take the battery
charge off and see if the dash comes alive. When I have
this probem driving it even as less as a mile it will
start like nothing was ever wrong with it. HELP!!!

My Advice:
Take it to Nissan see if they can figure it out.
If you want to try yourself, go to AI Gemini and see if they can
help You figure it out.
I'm thinking the Battery, Cable's, Ground Connections, etc.
You need to have a smart charger that is designed to charge the
size of your battery, and don't leave it on all the time. Charge it
about 1 or 2 time's a week and take the charger off after it is
fully charged.
After the Terminals and Cable Ends are really clean useing
Bakeing soda & Water Solution, ***DON'T GET ANY BAKEING
SODA IN THE BATTERY CELLS*** connect the Cable's to the
terminals and coat the Terminals, Cable connectors, and any
exposed Cable ---- with A HEAVY COATING OF GREASE TO
PREVENT FUTURE OXIDATION.
I use the WalMart AGM Batteries designed to fit my Truck.

Also Download the Nissan Service Manual, especially if you are
going to try and diagnose it along with Gemini's help.
There are so many possibilitie's when it come's to electrical.
