Is there any information out in the after market on the diferential. I would really like to locate a LSD to help pull my boat up some of these slippery ramps.

Thats good info, I tried to look for parts with Arburn, DANA, and a few others and they all list at least 4 different DANA 44'S

How do I tell which one I have..or does it matter?

best way to find out the exact specs on it is to go bug your local nissan dealership.  I would do it for you, but mine is dumber than a box of rocks  :(.  You will need to know 2 things to order a LSD, the rear end gear ratio, and the number of splines on the axle.  It is most likely a 30 spline, but its good to make sure.  As for the gear ratio, I believe for dana 44s, if your 3.73 or higher, you use a different carrier than 3.54 and lower.   Let us know what the ratio is when you find out please!

oh, and if your doing slippery boat ramps, a clutch type LSD will work better than a truetrac.  Clutch type provides 100 percent of available bias reguardless of torque input, truetrac will let the wheels slip more.

I bugged the dealer and was told it is a C200 diff with 2.93 gears, he had no idae how many splines on the axle. From another source I verified part of the dealers assertion

The DANA 44 come with the standard trans on the SE, the C200 with the auto. If I,m reading the chart right

I found a chart put out by Nissan that lays it all out.  Complete vehicle specs for most all nissan Cars and trucks 04 and newer can be found at:

www.nissannews.com

click on Nissan, then your vehicle, look for the specification menu on the left
