Just got on to this site, thought I'd say hello. I own a 2000 Frontier 4x4 6 cyl. I added a "cold air intake" (although after the fact I realized that the original intake was fairly 'cold air' in itself. I wonder what the real 'cold air' application means when applied to this model, and wonder if I spent money with Nissmo that I didn't need to (it does sound 'cool' but I question it's value).
I also added dual exhaust, in order to hopefully improve mileage in league with the "intake."
Added oversized wheels and tires to my truck, and cosmetically, I have to say it is the best looking Frontier in my town, however, I'm looking for better MPG.
Any thought in this area are well appreciated and I thank you in advance for any input. I'm still marking factory numbers for mpg: A paultry 18 mpg on highway isn't something I should be seeingin a 6-cyl....I might as well be driving a V8.
What can I do for 1) power, and 2) mpg? I realize their is a line where these two actuals become separate. Opening it up like I did made me think I would get better mpg. But hasn't. I could use some ideas here...
Glad to be here, really glad. Hope to get to know you folks
Alan
