I had a 2006 Frontier XE Extended Cab and now have moved up to a 2009 Frontier SE Crew Cab 2WD Short Bed and have yet to locate a lightweight (supports up to say 300#) headache rack for hauling long lumber over the cab. The bed is too short for most of the lumber I need. Even 8' sticks out too far. I used to have a 1985 Nissan King Cab that I built a rack for from galvanized fence posts without even welding. The bed was bolted at the inside front corners and I just used those bolts and fashioned chain link straps to fit those. This Crew Cab has the factory installed adjustable tie-downs but I haven't been able to find anyone whose makes a bolt-in rack to those. Anyone seen anything like that let me know.
