I just purchase a 2004 Frontier King Cab with 55,000 mile. My first Nissan. It's in great shape and runs strong, poor on gas milage. The ride has something to desired, it's hard and handles like crap. On bumpy roads, tires bounce off the pavement and I feel every bump in the road. I front end seems loose, took to the dealer where I bought it and they say nothing is loose in the front end. My question is two fold, #1- can anyone reccomend shocks for highway driving, that give a smooth ride without sacrificing control?   #2 - Recommendation's on anti-sway bar bushing upgrades and where to buy from?  Nissan Rookie needs help...

I had a 94 pathfinder with torsion bars. Does your truck have torsion bars? I did have a stiff ride and ended up replacing the shocks all the way around bought Monroe SUV shocks, and what a difference it made.
Shocks were about $22 each.

davidjbrady - yes it has torsion bars. Thanks for the recommendation on the shocks. I'll give them a shot.

i have an 03, and live on a dirt rode it handles ok, but i find that monroes are all that, they used to be.

i had to replace the fronts after 12 miles, leaked and went to a stiffer type. cant recall which ones i went on the monroes.
