Hi all,

I been looking at leasing a new frontier pick up. I have an old Dakota that I loathe. I was wondering what kind of experience you all had with your Frontier pickup, what kind of problems did you have, horror stories, moments of glory, that kind of thing.

Thanks

Welcome to the club, if you ask me, Nissan Frontier is the best truck for the money. This website has been very useful in sharing problem areas.
I just turned 50K on mine truck.

50K on mine, once in a while I have to spray the drivers
window run with WD40 to speed up the window movement, other
than that, been great.

Approaching 50,000 on my 4wd 2007 SE.  Only problem has been replacing the plastic chain tensioners and that was covered by warranty.  Drives great!  I have covered 20 degrees of latitude in the Fronty...going from PA to Savannah Ga and from PA to far north in Quebec province to where the gravel roads ran out on a bear hunting trip.  I also hauled a 1000 pound gun safe on a 100 pound wooden support halfway through PA when we moved.  Handled it like there was no weight there at all!  I could not be more pleased.  On a long trip running 93 octane and keeping my speed at or just below 65 mph, I can get 23 mpg and sometimes even a bit more.

I liked the Nissan dealer in Lancaster PA where I bought the truck and like the dealer here in State College.  Both have been professional, courteous and a pleasure to deal with.

I considered your Dodge Dakota in 2011, but I had read
that the Domestic 3 had given up on the midsize truck
market, so I passed.

I bought a new 2011 Nissan Frontier CC V6/5spd auto, I
have been very pleased with the drivetrain, ride,
handling, brakes, towing is impressive, seats and driving
position are great.

I treat it like a member of the family, it's just a
pleasure to drive !

I would only change the turning radius, too wide , I have
learned to deal with it.
