Hello, I have 57K on my 08 V6, oil has been changed every 3000 miles. No issues.
Just curious, my oil pressure gauge never moves once I start it up. If low was 0% and H was 100%, my needle reads at about 60%. Whether at idle or highway speeds, the gauge holds steady.
Is this normal?
David

These oil gauges are basically idiot lights, a "yes" or "no" gauge. Apparently Nissan got tired of fielding questions about oil pressure changing in hot and cold weather, slow and fast sppeds, etc. So the gauge was changed to read right about in the middle as long as the OP was in a certain range. Another example of things being reduced to the lowest common denominator for idiots.
