I've had some really bad luck with vehicles recently, Corvette and Firebird
both ended badly.
Now I've gotten a 2004 Frontier 3.3 V6 that has been sitting.
Got it to run, but poorly.
Today I replaced the rubber intake manifold, it ran better, for a few seconds.
Added some fresh gas, verified that fuel is being sent to the fuel rail.
But it barely or won't start, has no ability to rev up.
I did clean the MAF.
It has been suggested that the fuel pressure regulator might be an issue,
how do I check it?
If the weather is warm enough I will do the usual checks on Saturday, fuel
filter, clean the the distributor cap, look for additional vacuum leaks.
For the moment, just Hi!

If you are going to try and fix/diagnose it yourself:

I would google SMJ999SMJ , He has helped a lot of
folk's and he used to work for Nissan as a Mastertech.
Especially with Older Nissan Truck's. He's on a lot of forum's
and He would be my 1st choice for getting someone to help me
online.

Borrowed a scan tool.
Surprised to find only one code, P0327.
Knock/Combustion vibration sensor.

I don't think that is my major issue.
So it's something that does not trip a code.
I think I need to fabricate a fuel T to check pressure.

Manual for your Truck.

Just Google and You'll find a Free DownLoad.

My greatest concern of the moment is that it may not be worth repair.
I bought a new fuel filter today, unlikely to be the real issue but needs to be
changed anyway.
In the brief time I did have it running I saw blue smoke, not sure if it burns oil or
if it's some accumulation from sitting.
I think I've found a spare fuel line I may cut to fit a "T" to test fuel pressure.

You Are Right, It may not be worth fixing.
But Don't Start Throwing Part's @ it hopeing for a miracle.

That's why I Referred You to smj999smj. He's helped a lot of
folk's and might be able to narrow it down to see if it was worth
fixing.

It's really really hard diagnoseing a Truck, When from the Getgo
it isn't running. You have to start from Scratch not knowing what
happened to cause it to not run.

It's real easy to put quiet a bit of money into it,, before you find
out. That's a huge gamble,, Especially if you are not a Skilled
Mechanic, With all the Tool's needed, and the Diagnostic
Equipment.

Remember, it was prior owned and they may have came up with
the same conclusion, that it wasn't worth it to fix.

I could venture a guess,, but I don't want to be a part of sending
you down a rabbit hole.

When it come's to Truck's, Whether they are Small or Large,
they usually find a home pretty quick, unless they are not worth
fixing.

You might have stumbled upon an exception though. You won't
know until you get it running to see if it has a major problem that
isn't worth repair.

If this were an analog car I would have known the answer in an hour.
Fifty years experience, but the electronic over-complication has ruined
modern cars.

I Agree, and It's Getting Worse.

Not Just Vehicle's Either. The Electronic's Have Invaded The
New Tractor's As Well. Increaseing the Price as well as the
Complexity.

I can remember back when I didn't want a New Vehicle with
Fuel Injection. I wanted to stay with a Carburetor Engine.
Those Day's are gone I guess.

Be sure to Check Out The Distributor Really Good. That's
Where SMJ999SMJ might be able to help. The Distributor's on
the older Nissan's gave owner's fit's trying to diagnose them.

I told the Barber that Thing's Just Aren't Like They Used To Be ~
He Said Thing's Won't Ever Be Like They Used To Be...

Tonight I gave in and cut the rubber line to add a "T" and Schrader valve.
42 PSI, it does not bleed down quickly with the key off, and almost starts.
Tomorrow I am going to use an external pump from a Jaguar XJ6 to see if more
pressure makes a difference.
I need to see it run until warm to know the condition of the engine.
If blue smoke continues, it's dead Jim!
