Well,finally did a radio swap to get HD sound.. Got a Jensen VM9312HD.. So far so good.. Really like the HD as there are quite a few more channels and a lot less commercials.. This radio has a lot of standard features and a lot of add on extras.. Comes with a expansion box for external ipod support as well as the cable to connect it.. Has the motorized 7" tft screen that can stay closed and still offer radio control.. Wanted HD and mp3 capability but I can add XM a rear camera and GPS module to this too.. Comes with a remote (like I can't reach the controls....) Checked out a lot of radios but this is sweet!! Instructions are wrong for part of the install but overall wasn't too bad.. Only thing I really miss is the clock.. It has one but you have to press a button 4 times to see it and cannot default to it.. Always has to be selected every time you restart the truck.. For anyone interested mounted the hd module right to the top of the blower box beneath the radio..

My 08 truck has the single cd player.  Is it just an unplug and plug in for the 6 disc changer?  I'm looking for multi-disc player with an I Pod interface
