Im thinking of getting a sub and maybe throwing an amp under one of the seats on my 06 king cab but am having some difficulty.
Im trying to find out the specs on the stock speakers (which im guessing are nissan but i dont know so if anyone does could you let me know?)
Im trying to find a sub that is small, easily tuned and fairly powerful.
id have to build an enclosure but my top choice right now for sub is
This
id like to add an amp to help it but dont know if i need it or not.
i replaced the stock head unit with an Alpine CDA-9883 but id really like to know the specs on the stock speakers because theyre nice, but i want to add to them without blowing them
ill also have to build an enclosure for it myself because i have fun with it and im cheap so if anyone has any suggestions or anything please let me know

(sorry i posted this in wrong section, thanks to whoever moved it)

well i can't see what sub you're looking to add.  But if you're wanting to put it under the seat in the back you're going to need a shallow mount sub.  There's quite a few on the market now as people are buying smaller and smaller cars.

JL and Memphis both have them.  With those you will need an amp.

The stock speakers are probably Panasonic, unless you have the RF option (can't quite remember if RF was offered that year )

Adding a deck or amp won't blow your stock speakers, distorsion will.  Your stock speakers will sound better with more clean power, but if you hear them distort turn it down.   I'm not saying you can run a 100x4 Boston amp to them, but a aftermarket radio or a small amp would be fine.  I put a single Boston Acoustics Pro 10.5lf under the rear pass side seat firing down and it sounds great, won't win any SPL challenges but I'm getting old anyway!
