Ok so im having some issues with my 1999 frontier 3.3l. The main problem is that im having wiring issues and the main question i have is that there is a part under the manifold that is making a clicking noise, but i dont think its the knock sensor, the only things i know about it is that it has wiring going to it and i think it is attached to the manifold itself (i could only feel it with my hands, not see). If someone could tell me what it is i could get on with diagnosing the rest of my problems.

The only thing under the manifold is the knock sensor. Are you sure that is where the noise is coming from??

yeah its a ticking noise when the key is turned to the ON position. Also i followed found the source under my manifold but i thought the knock sensor was further down, either way im pulling off my manifold tomorrow so ill find out what it is lol. i guess ill find out.

You are talking about the intake upper plenum, not the intake manifold, correct???? Is the check engine light on or any drive ability concerns?
