Greetings All,

I recently purchased a 2004 Frontier 2wd ext cab 4 cyl 5 sp truck from my local Nissan dealer. The truck came with stock 15 inch wheels which I replaced with stock 16 inch Nissan wheels. My check engine light keeps throwing a vss code. I called the dealer and they informed me the system can't be recalibrated to reflect this wheel size change. Do I have any options other than staring at that annoying yellow light? Thanks, Jeff

Is there a big difference in the circumference between the 15 and 16 tires ??? If not, it's possible you may have a problem with the speedo head. The signal comes from the VSS to the speedo head and then to the ECU. Sometimes tightening the screws on the back of the meter assy. will correct the concern.
